Madison Magee Publishes "Handprints"
The people at Community Support Systems have a new way to tell their stories after the publication of the book "Handprints," which goes on sale Saturday. The book combines 25 pieces of art and 25 stories from clients of the CSS program, prepared with the help of a volunteer team assembled by Madison Magee. "People all have their own mark, their own proof of existence — their own unique handprint. On whomever you meet, wherever you go, and whatever you do, you leave your mark," Magee said. Magee, a senior at Teutopolis High School, began the project as part of her Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities project. Some of the artists and authors will be on hand to sign copies of the book from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Teutopolis Junior High School.
