About Me
My name is Josephine Kleist, though most people know me as Josie. I am a senior at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School, where I am actively involved in academics, leadership, athletics, and service. For the past three years, I have served as Vice President of GCMS Future Business Leaders of America, an experience that has strengthened my passion for business and leadership. I am also involved in Student Council, Yearbook, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Outreach, and have been a four-year member of the volleyball program.
Academics and personal growth have always been important to me. I was named Student of the Year during both my freshman and sophomore years, was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior, and have maintained High Honors throughout high school. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, reading, crafting, and spending time with my friends and family. I also balance two jobs as a waitress and nanny, which have helped shape my work ethic and sense of responsibility.
I chose to participate in Prairieland CEO because I plan to pursue business, and I wanted the opportunity to continue exploring it beyond the classroom. After graduation, my plan is to attend a four-year university to study accounting with a minor in artificial intelligence research. I have high expectations for my future and will combine my drive, creativity, and passion for business to make a meaningful impact in whatever path I pursue.
