Doug Wuethrich
I grew up in the house overlooking the 4th green at Kaufman Park Golf Course in Eureka, Illinois. I graduated from Eureka High School in 1975 and Bradley University in 1979 with a BS in Marketing. I worked for Heinold Commodities, Inc. and Kidder Peabody, Inc. from March of 1981-February 1995, working my way up from floor runner, phone clerk, trading pit broker, and trading floor manager on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. I earned my teacher certification from Chicago State University in 1997. From there I worked in the Indian Prairie School district for 2 years and then spent 20 years at El Paso/El Paso Gridley High School teaching Business and Technology classes. I retired from teaching in May of 2020. I'm married to my wonderful wife Amy (Romersberger) Wuethrich for 38 years. We have 3 grown children: Andrew, Ellen, and Lara. The 2025-2026 CEO program year will be my 4th year as the facilitator. I enjoy watching the students' entrepreneurial skills and personal skills throughout the year and working with the businesses involved with the program is exciting.
