About Me
Hi! My name is Brecke Barnard. I am a junior at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School with a strong passion for agriculture, and leadership.Through my active involvement in FFA, 4-H, volleyball, and the American International Junior Charolais Association, I have developed valuable skills in leadership, which I work to incorporate throughout the community.
With that, I am actively involved in my family’s farming operation, Barnard Farms, where we grow corn and soybeans. In addition to the farm, I own and manage a small herd of Charolais cattle, which has provided me with hands-on experience, and strengthened my interest in livestock production and the agriculture industry.
Outside of school, I enjoy participating in church, 4-H, and the American International Junior Charolais Association. These experiences have allowed me to make connections, seek out active advice, and much more! Whether through showing cattle, volunteering, public speaking, or making new connections, I seek to model high standards and represent core principles I value most.
Following high school, I plan to attend a four-year college and pursue a degree related to agriculture more specifically ag communication. My goal is to build on my experiences in agriculture and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the future of the industry.
