Business Visit: Kendall Vegetation Services
On Tuesday morning, our group had the opportunity to visit Kendall Vegetation Services and hear from Matt Endrizzi, founder of Endrizzi Contracting. Matt built and operated the company alongside his wife, Amanda, for 26 years before its recent acquisition by Kendall Vegetation Services, where he now serves as Vice President of operations.
Although Amanda was unable to attend, Matt emphasized the vital role she played in building a strong, successful business that ultimately positioned them for a successful sale. Their partnership is a great example of the impact of shared vision and dedication behind the scenes.
Matt shared that while many factors contributed to his success, his commitment to putting people first was the most influential. Whether working with customers or employees, he stressed the importance of delivering more than promised and consistently going the extra mile. This approach not only builds loyalty but also creates word-of-mouth marketing that fuels long-term growth. He also highlighted the importance of building trust within a team—when employees feel valued and respected, they are more likely to reflect those same values in their work.
In addition to leadership insights, Matt discussed financial responsibility. He spoke candidly about the risks of consumer debt and how quickly it can become overwhelming, while also explaining how strategic use of debt can support business growth. He demonstrated a retirement calculator, showing students how small financial decisions made early in life can lead to long-term financial stability.
Following the discussion, we toured the office and met several key team members, gaining a better understanding of the roles that support daily operations.
We are grateful to Matt for taking the time to share his entrepreneurial journey and valuable advice. We also appreciate Amanda and Matt for their continued support of our program as financial investors.
