Today the class heard from Kyle Ainsworth of WGEM, who shared his journey from Ohio to Florida and ultimately to Quincy. Kyle talked about what it has been like building a career in media, not only as a news anchor but also through his deep involvement in sports reporting.

He spoke about his passion for sports as a long-term goal and what it was like transitioning from larger markets to a community like ours. The conversation gave students a real look at how career paths are rarely linear and how opportunity can show up in unexpected places.

One of the most impactful parts of the morning was Kyle’s willingness to answer any question the class asked. That level of openness, confidence, and vulnerability made the conversation both meaningful and memorable.
