The 59 Corridor CEO Facilitator will create a learning environment where students are encouraged to
explore, discover and experience learning through real life business activities. The Facilitator’s role is to model
a passion for learning, connecting with the students and community, collaborating with the CEO board, and, most importantly, providing guidance to the students, a.k.a. the “Young Professionals”.
The Facilitator position is a part time position. The initial 90 minute per day (core hours = M-F, 7:30 a.m. –9:00 a.m.) is spent with the Young Professionals (school age Junior and Seniors). The remaining balance of facilitator time is flexibly scheduled to arrange business visits, guest speakers, calling on business people, attending Board functions, etc. CEO requires time from the Facilitator to establish good
relationships with the business community, prepare the many communications that make the program transparent, and to build the learning environment that allows students to succeed.
We are seeking a Facilitator who is:

Specific functions of a Facilitator:
Communication
● Promote a positive image of CEO.
● Serve as a shared point of contact for all CEO matters.
● Schedule CEO Visits and speakers.
● Receive feedback from presenters.
● Assist with marketing of the program: forward class updates for social media pages and the
newsletter.
● Prepare and present a monthly board report.
● Communicate and collaborate with the Schools to ensure smooth operations and student credit.
● Collaborate with the CEO board on shared responsibilities.

● Look for and develop community networking opportunities that benefit students.
Support Student “Young Professional” Development:
● Read and respond to students’ weekly journals.
● Connect students to resources.
● Continually assess and evaluate student performance.

● Facilitate development and execution of class business.
● Facilitate development and execution of individual student businesses.
● Identify and address student needs and issues.
● Track student grades and report quarterly to schools.
● Incorporate Craig Lindvahl’s Life Lessons from Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday.
Operations:
● Develop program materials and content.
● Develop class and team building activities.
● Seek & secure host sites.
● Organize business visits and guest speakers.
● Track / attain key concepts and foundational skills recommended by the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship through the provided evaluation system.
Participate in The Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship Training and Events:
● Required: Attend New Facilitator Training in Effingham, Illinois.
● Participate in Monthly Webinars (August - April).
New Facilitator Huddle (Monthly)
Kitchen of Learning (Quarterly after year 1)
● Complete & administer Midland Institute surveys.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma with experience working with youth. A Bachelor degree with an
an active Minnesota Teaching License is preferred. However, there are opportunities to assist without a teaching license. The time commitment aligns with the high school calendar (August – May). As shared previously, there is an available summer-time training that is required (with some travel involved for one week out the year, which is Board compensated).
Compensation:
The available position pays at an estimate of $25,000.00 per year plus Board-approved incidental expenses.
There are no other benefits offered with this part-time position. 59 Corridor complies with State law pertaining
necessary employment risk-management coverages.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
The Facilitator must be physically able to attend program functions and visits. Standard use of the phones
and computers as means of communication is required. Minimum amounts of lifting up to 20 lbs. may be
required. A background check is part of conditional offers and required for final acceptance to the position.
