A couple of recent speaker days in the West CEO Class include Michelle French and Paul Osborn. As a restaurant owner with extensive background in dietetics and an all-around “people person”, Michelle spoke to the students about organization and positivity. Students left with an assignment: give a compliment, have a slogan to live by, and clean your room/car. If you live in chaos your life will be chaotic!
Paul Osborn, attorney at Ward, Murray, Pace, & Johnson, joined students for an informal talk on the legal aspects of business. From types of businesses, copyrights, licenses, lawsuits, etc. to tips on managing post-secondary education, students heard many valuable insights. Paul echoed the same advice given by Michelle: It is not enough to dream, wish, and hope. Goals require actions, steps and plans.
