The West CEO Class is off to a great start this week with excellent suggestions on ways to become great leaders. On Monday, Kim Purvis, Koehler Farms, led students through an interactive presentation which focused on the 3 words she believes best support good leadership: competence, communication, character. Tuesday brought guest speaker Representative Tony McCombie to class whose leadership standards echoed some of the previous day's. Students learned more about vulnerability, transparency, honesty, trust, etc. Both leaders talked about standing one's ground, operating with integrity, and keeping emotions at bay.
