We like to see the numbers, a loan officers summarized at CEO Banker Day.
CEO students came to The Hometown Savings Bank to meet individually with the lending team of Jason Ernst, Terri Conley and Summer Long to experience a financial discussion about their business.
As seniors in high school, these students have just begun to consider their financial position and are interested in building their credit. Several speakers and their mentors have stressed the importance of that this year. When considering a business of their own, their personal credit plays a big role.
Each CEO student brought their business plan to the table. Sample products, spreadsheets, records of sales, profit margins, Trade Show projections, and scalability were all part of the conversation. Students found a conversation with the THSB loan team, Jason, Terri and Summer, was easier than they thought, especially if the students came well prepared.
Thank you to the loan team at The Hometown Savings Bank, Stephanie Stephens (VP, Asst. Branch Mgr.), and Bart Colwell (President & CEO of THSB) for kindly hosting CEO Banker Day and for being an investor of Vigo County CEO from the start. The loan team told CEO they hoped to work with these 11 new businesses in the Terre Haute community.
