About Me

Quinn Gates is a homeschooled senior in high school, and on track to receive an associates degree from Spoon River College in the spring of 2026. Quinn is a passionate player of club soccer, captaining his team this past spring, and volunteers his time as both a youth coach and referee at the community YMCA, where he works as a lifeguard in the summer. Much of Quinn’s time is spent helping his family operate their grass fed, grass finished cattle farm. In his free time, Quinn enjoys working with and raising his show cattle, woodworking for his traditional craft business, and fly fishing. After high school, Quinn plans on attending a four year university to study grazing systems and agroforestry, before returning home to operate the family farm and start his own land management business. Quinn hopes that his participation in the Spoon River CEO program can help him form connections and relationships with businesses and individuals in his area, and prepare him for a career of operating his own businesses.
