About Me

Bryer Nelson is a senior at Canton High School who is dedicated to leadership, academics, and community involvement. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Youth Leadership Academy, plays on the soccer team, and serves as the Section 12 FFA President. Through FFA, he has met amazing people, grown as a leader, and earned his FFA State Degree, which requires a supervised agricultural experience, accurate recordkeeping, leadership, and community involvement. Bryer is continuing to build on that work while striving to achieve his American FFA degree, the highest possible award the organization has to offer. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with family, playing pickleball with friends, and making meaningful connections with his peers. Bryer plans to attend the University of Illinois to major in biology and apply the skills he has gained to his future endeavors. He is excited to be part of the inaugural Spoon River CEO program and is looking forward to the unique opportunities it provides.
