Today, CEO team members toured the Coffeen Fire Protection District, where they were welcomed by Assistant Chief Brayden Summers and Fireman John Kim. The visit began with a presentation covering the inner workings of a fire protection district, including budgeting, government and legal requirements, maintenance procedures, and the difference between protection districts and city-specific departments.
Team members also received a hands-on tour of the station’s equipment and trucks, getting an up-close look at the tools and vehicles used to serve the community. A key takeaway from the day was the emphasis placed on planning ahead and consistent training, as the department works to ensure community safety before emergencies ever occur. We are grateful for the time and insight shared by the Coffeen Fire Protection District team!
