“What I want to accomplish most in the next six months is to assure people that I am a safe person,” Mitchell said. “I am not here to replace Craig Lindvahl, who has touched so many people and is one special guy. I’m here to carry on what he is doing. I want to build trust and relationships, which are the key for this whole thing.”
Next fall, up to 22 students from Alton High School and Marquette Catholic High School will begin the Riverbend Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program. This opportunity allows students to see firsthand how area businesses operate.
The Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship welcomes new staff member The Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship announced today that Cheryl Mitchell, of Mahomet, is joining the staff of the Institute as the interim executive director. Craig Lindvahl, the current executive director, will be handing over day-to-day operations to Mitchell as he deals with a health issue.
The CEO program is designed to equip students in the county with the training they need to eventually run businesses here. Each student in the class must successfully start a business, and the class as a whole must run a successful enterprise before graduation.
