Parents, students, and investors recently got a crash course lesson about a new entrepreneurial program coming to Shelby County.
Students and their parents kicked off their journey as the inaugural Bond County CEO class Tuesday as they participated in the student/parent orientation night.
Program a good fit with agriculture. Students have visited grain farms, hog farms, a flour mill, agrichemical-fertilizer dealerships and other ag-related businesses.
When Emily Chermak of Willmar was in high school, she always expected she would go to a four-year college, likely out of state. Then her senior year she was introduced to a new class called Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) being offered in Kandiyohi County. The CEO program not only changed her plans, it changed her life.
