GALESBURG — Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities is one of the newest programs Galesburg School District is using to connect high school graduates to stay and create professional networks. The program allows high school juniors and seniors to form their own business idea and push it toward reality. The course asks the students to go out into the city and make business connections with other members of the economic market.
MT. VERNON — The Jefferson County CEO board met at Rare Chop House Wednesday afternoon to discuss changes in the CEO program.
While most high school students are thinking about school supplies, classes and extracurriculars, CEO students of Central Minnesota CEO are thinking about what it looks like to start and run their own personal businesses. On Sept. 6, our community began the CEO program year- just the first in a series of steps to help cultivate real life skills in our students and to enter our community into a national network of high caliber young leaders. Central Minnesota CEO is a collaboration of students from Wadena-Deer Creek, Staples-Motley and Verndale.
MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) - Jefferson County high school students took the opportunity to visit Phoenix Modular Elevator (PME) in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to learn about the manufacturing process and the people behind operating a commercial, quality elevator factory. The visit was coordinated through the Jefferson County CEO program.
