Always one of the more personal and down to earth site visits the CEOs are blessed with is Purlee Farms and the owner, Jim Purlee.
Jim shares how he grew up in a farming family and initially went to college to study history.
Jim worked a few jobs after college, finding good success, but he felt called back to the farm.
Jim bought his first farm at age 25 and slowly grew into one of the largest producers in the Knox County area.
Jim and his crew farm a little over 10,000 acres. A very humble man that shared a ton of 1 liners full of advice, here are just a few of them:
Always be doing something.
Get all the education you can and never stop learning.
Be willing to work a little harder than the other guy.
Have goals, stay steady and finish.
Thanks, Jim, for sharing your time and planting seeds of knowledge with the CEOs!
