On Wednesday, our CEO students had the opportunity to learn from Luke O’Neal with Banterra Bank.
As students begin thinking about their future—homeownership, finances, and long-term planning—they’ve shown a strong interest in understanding loans and how to navigate them. Thanks to the help of student mentor Sabrina Ethridge, we were able to connect with the perfect speaker to guide this conversation.
Luke provided valuable insight into different types of loans, available assistance programs, and broke down the details of an amortization schedule in a way that was easy to understand. He also shared practical advice on how to position yourself for loan approval and strategies to pay off loans sooner—potentially saving thousands over time.
We are grateful to Banterra Bank for their continued investment in our program and for sharing their expertise in such meaningful and relevant ways for our students.
