Guest Speaker Spotlight: Nicole Martinez Griffin

This morning our Johnson County CEO students had the pleasure of hearing from Vienna alum Nicole Martinez Griffin, owner of Tenacity Training in Paducah, KY. Many may recognize Nicole from her appearances on American Ninja Warrior, where she competed in seasons 7, 9, 10, and 11.

Nicole shared the story behind Tenacity Training, which began in 2018 and has grown into a unique fitness facility offering ninja classes for ages 2 and up. The gym is also home to Paducah’s first indoor climbing wall, spanning over 1,000 square feet, creating opportunities for athletes of all skill levels to challenge themselves and build confidence.

Nicole spoke with the class about the journey of building a business—from the early days of getting started to the expansion of the gym and her future goals for Tenacity Training. She encouraged students to embrace perseverance and shared one of her favorite quotes:
“Failure is not final, and success is not the end.”

We wrapped up the morning with a fun competition for some Tenacity Training swag. Unfortunately, there’s no photo of the plank competition since I was participating too—and let’s just say the students outlasted me by quite a bit! 😂

We appreciate Nicole making the drive to invest in our students and share her experiences as both an athlete and entrepreneur.
