David J Toby, Senior VP FCB Banks and CEO board member, shared an inspirational message with our group of young entrepreneurs this week.

With over 22 years of banking experience in Edwardsville, Dave has a strong understanding of community. He stressed how special and unique our Edwardsville/Glen Carbon community truly is, due to the PEOPLE that live here.

Dave's journey, like many of our speakers, included a major bend in the road when he pivoted career pursuits from radio broadcasting, to retail, to banking! Your connections and relationships and your ability to work hard and be open to opportunities, will get you through any storm in life. He encouraged our students to get involved in whichever community the plant roots, as your community (and the people that live and work there) are a huge factor in leading a fulfilling life.
