Over the course of this year, the CEO program has had a significant impact on my growth as a person, a student, and an aspiring businessman. When I first entered the program, I was nervous about speaking to business owners and unsure of my role in the class. Now, I can confidently walk into any room, introduce myself, and engage with professionals. Through constant challenges like networking events and class projects, I have grown into a more mature, positive, and professional individual.
One of the biggest skills I developed was leadership. Early on, I was hesitant to speak up and share ideas, but over time, I became confident in leading discussions, offering solutions, and helping drive our class forward. Networking also became a major strength of mine, allowing me to build meaningful connections that I know will serve me well into the future. Facing setbacks, such as delays in planning our class business event, taught me how to stay calm under pressure and trust in my fellow classmates. In the end, we made over $10,000 — a huge success that proved what we were capable of when we worked together.
The CEO program changed the way I view entrepreneurship. I learned that it’s not just about quick profits, but about persistence, creativity, and improving every single day. I’ve built a mindset of waking up each day ready to get 1% better — an attitude I carry with me into sports, classes, and beyond.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue improving my networking skills and building lasting relationships within my community. As I head to the University of Missouri next year, I feel prepared to take on new challenges with confidence, using all the lessons from CEO to stand out among my peers.
I’m incredibly grateful for this experience, the mentors who supported me, and my classmates who challenged me to be better. CEO has given me tools and experiences that will shape the rest of my journey — and for that, I’m truly thankful.
